This blog is to document the unique, perhaps epic, newspaper war being waged in a county with about 130,000 between the Media News Group-owned Times-Standard and Arkley-owned Eureka Reporter. Since The Eureka Reporter arose from the deep pocket of Rob Arkley back in 2004, skirmishes have been fought along many fronts: the business, news and court fronts. Allies and enemies of both newspapers have dug their heels into the sand, aiding either side with sharp rhetoric found on the blogs and boycotts of either newspaper.
This blog will aim to create a centralized location for documenting this war as it progresses, one fought between two rich males, their staffs and an eager, burning passion to defeat their competitors on the print battlefield.
